Fernando Gutiérrez

 Fernando Gutiérrez

Beyond blatant criticism of the way they dress or their political preferences in Venezuela (the thought is still open, thank God), the fact is that Fernando Gutierrez is a social activist born. It was in the past, it is in the present and undoubtedly will remain so in the future. And as a tireless campaigner, has, of course, its defenders and its detractors, only the latter are pigeonholed into sectarianism, pure and simple, that it moves away from the respect due to all the people of this land of ours who live and work in dignity .

Gutiérrez (but bears the same name no relationship whatsoever unites us) does deserve recognition for their years of struggle for his people, their land. Today, we have seen, as published, how effective can the claims of an entire people, organized by Fernando Gutierrez and where they fit all ideologies and possible thoughts.

The demands of the residents of La Restinga already been heard by the President of the Canary Islands, Paulino Rivero, and have already articulated the first direct aid to those affected, assistance of Fernando Gutiérrez will not receive a penny. "We have to fight between them, Sergio, if not this village, this island is dying," he said with his characteristic vehemence.

Today, Gutierrez is a banner of his people, a tireless fighter I presume enjoy their friendship. Do not forget, Fernando, that in this struggle are not alone, you have many people who support you and follow you. Always remember that.

For my part, I tell you (as I did) that this humble newspaper from El Hierro is available to my people of El Hierro. DIARIO EL HIERRO from here, claims to be from El Hierro and is next to, above all, the people that are having a tough time at the moment, because, as you well say, together, together, without rancor or hatred, we can move our island forward.

And the work we find ourselves, all who love this little isle our own. Now more than ever it is necessary to have a connection between each and every one of the towns of El Hierro. We should be one voice, one throat to scream to the world we're here, we're not going to sink, which we will move forward. In the struggle, united and at peace.
