DIARIOELHIERRO.ES, writing (23.11.2011. 12:22 pm)

The seismic activity that has not stopped a single day in La Frontera, seems to have returned, at least temporarily, the municipality of El Pinar, who from the submarine eruption of La Restinga had been a notable decrease in the number of earthquakes.

Thus, the volcano monitoring network monitoring 24 hours of National Geographic Institute (IGN) has filed today in this town of El Hierro two earthquakes of 2.0 and 2.6 magnitude on the Richter scale. The first was located at 08:10 am in the west of El Pinar and 18 kilometers deep.

The second quake today in this town in the south of the island occurred at 11:22 pm in the southwest of El Pinar and 13 kilometers deep.

The other earthquakes have been located in the northwest and west of Frontera, between 15 and 20 kilometers deep.

According to the National Geographic Institute (IGN), and could be subject to change, so far there have been 11 earthquakes in El Hierro on Wednesday.
